TD Ameritrade Institutional has just launched a new marketing campaign called Human Finance. Now, we generally don't pay much attention to marketing and advertising, but in this case, TD Ameritrade has really hit the nail on the head.
Being a financial adviser to real people is very different than most other finance related professions. We don't answer to some bottom line, but instead we work to help people reach tangible goals. We take very seriously the trust that our clients have placed in us, and we feel that we owe our clients honesty, integrity and respect. Numbers and spreadsheets are certainly an important part of what we do, but this relationship with clients is the most important part of our business.
Erica and I have said that we look at our clients as almost an extension of our family. This may sound a bit hokey, but it really is true. That is what makes our business so rewarding.
